چکیده
Abstract Composite materials are widely used in aerospace industries due to their light weight, strength, and various other desired properties. However, they susceptible defects occurring during the manufacturing process or service. Typical include porosity, wrinkles, delamination. Nondestructive means of detection at any stage great importance ensure quality safety composite structures. A nonintrusive removable Lamb wave system accompanied methodology that is not material dependent presented this paper detect types typical laminated plates, flat curved. Through multidimensional data acquisition processing, abnormality waves caused by captured inspection images. The methodologies demonstrated two cases: delamination a curved plate wrinkles plate. Overall, results show using piezoelectric transducer laser vibrometer can be for plates.

Lamb Wave Propagation in Laminated Composite Structures
| Damage detection using guided Lamb waves is an important tool in Structural health Monitoring. In this paper, we outline a method of obtaining Lamb wave modes in composite structures using two dimensional Spectral Finite Elements. Using this approach, Lamb wave dispersion curves are obtained for laminated composite structures with different fibre orientation. These propagating Lamb wave modes...

Defects Evaluation in Lamb Wave Testing of Thin Plates
In the present study, dispersion and displacement curves of ultrasonic lamb wave, propagated in Aluminum thin plates, were drawn. Two ultrasonic lamb wave techniques, pulse-echo (a1 mode as emitter) and emission (s1 mode as emitter), were used for interpretation of notch defects with depths of 10%, 30% and 60% of plate thickness. Thickness of plate was 2 mm and the nominal centre frequency of t...
متن کاملComposite Material Defects Characterization Using Leaky Lamb Wave Dispersion Data
Leaky Lamb waves (LLW) propagation in composite materials has been studied extensively since it was first observed in 1982. The wave is induced using a pitch-catch arrangement and the plate wave modes are detected by identifying minima in the reflected spectra to obtain the dispersion data. The wave behavior in multi-orientation laminates was well documented and corroborated experimentally with...
متن کاملShape Optimization in Laminated Composite Plates
At this stage a substantial body of literature exists for shape optimization involving isotropic materials. The reader is referred to the articles of Haug [1] and Haftka and Grandhi [2] for overviews of the material. One approach to the problem is analytical. Calculus of variation techniques are employed to derive explicit optimality conditions. Choi and Haug [3], Dems and Mroz [4], and Banichu...
